Help us make digital tools truly accessible to communities worldwide.

Since 2012, Localization Lab has supported the translation and localization of critical tools and public-interest content into over 220 languages, working closely with grassroots communities, volunteers, and organizations around the world.

But this work needs resources—especially as we respond to growing demand, digital emergencies, and the need for inclusive access.

Your donation supports:

  1. Underrepresented, underresourced languages

    1. We prioritize localization into languages that are often excluded from commercial services: languages spoken by Indigenous communities, diaspora groups, and those in high-risk regions.

  2. Community contributors

    1. Many of our contributors are community leaders, artists, journalists, and advocates who rely on Localization Lab to sustain their work. Donations help provide stipends, community training, and fair compensation.

  3. Tool access in times of crisis

    1. From internet shutdowns to other digital emergencies, we respond quickly to ensure that vital information and digital tools are accessible in local languages when people need them most.

  4. Glossaries and language resources

    1. We co-create open-access glossaries and other language resources that strengthen public understanding of technical tools and concepts, bridging the gap between developers and end-users.

  5. Sustainable and community-led localization

    1. Instead of one-off translations, we invest in building sustainable systems for long-term access through trusted tools, community-driven platforms, and partnerships rooted in care.
